MAFS.8.F.1.1:  Understand that a function is a rule that assigns to each input exactly one output.  The graph of a function is a set of ordered pairs consisting of an input and the corresponding output.

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria
  • Students will understand that what makes a function is that each input can have only one output.
  • Students will be able to identify a function from a graph, equation, or set of ordered pairs.
  • Students will understand that the output of a function depends on the input.
Classroom Activities

Monday/Tuesday:

  • Students will continue to work on the Travel with Functions activity.

Wednesday:

  • Students will complete the Travel with Functions activity.

Thursday/Friday:

  • Students will do iReady for 45 minutes.
  • Students will then work on assignments for core class or complete missing work.
Assignments Due
  • Travel with Functions activity due on February 20.
  • iReady quiz due on February 21/22.
