MAFS.8.F.1.2: Compare properties of two functions each represented in a different way (algebraically, graphically, numerically in tables, or by verbal descriptions).

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria
  • identify the properties of a function written in algebraic form (e.g., rate of change, meaning of y-intercept and x-intercept, linear, non-linear).
  • compare the properties of two functions that are represented differently (e.g., as an equation, in a table, graphically, or a verbal representation).
Classroom Activities

Monday/Tuesday:

  • We will learn how to compare two functions based on their rate of change.
  • Students will do a worksheet on comparing two functions according to their rate of change.

Wednesday:

  • We will review slope and do some Kahoots on slope.

Thursday/Friday:

  • Students will do iReady and then finish the IXL’s 7th grade V.1 and V.2.

 

Assignments Due
  • Comparing Two Functions worksheet due on March 25/26.
