MAFS.912.F-LE.1.2: Construct linear functions, including arithmetic sequences, given a graph, a description of a relationship, or two input-output pairs. MAFS.912.F-BF.1.1a: Write a function that describes a relationship between two quantities. Determine an explicit expression, a recursive process, or steps for calculation from a context. MAFS.912.S-ID.3.7: Interpret the slope (rate of change) and the intercept (constant term) of a linear model in the context of the data. MAFS.912.F-LE.2.5: Interpret the parameters in a linear function in terms of a context.

MAFS.912.F-IF.3.7a: Graph functions expressed symbolically and show key features of the graph, by hand in simple cases and using technology for more complicated functions.

Bellringer: Number Sense Problem 28 (5 min)

Whole Group: Discuss the “Stained Glass Slopes” Activity. Model some of the problems finding the slope and y-intercept of a linear equation. Model how to graph some the equations.

Individual: Students will complete the “Stained Glass Slopes” Activity.

Thursday/Friday:

Bellringer: Number Sense Problem 29 (5 min)

Whole Group: Interactive Student Notebook (ISN) –  Slope and Slope-Intercept Form (30 min)

Independent: Students will finish graphing equations in slope-intercept form.

All IEP and ESOL accommodations provided daily.
