Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Student Goals:

To identify the ongoing conflict, including territorial disputes and trade competition between the English and the French.

Be able to discuss the outcome of the conflict including, but not limited to, ongoing conflict between France and England, territorial disputes, trade competition, Ft. Duquesne, Ft. Quebec, Treaty of Paris, heavy British debt.

Classroom Activities

Students will complete a mapping activity that will be inserted into their interactive notebooks, showing the French and British Territories. 

Students will discuss the reason the French and Indian war began and read pages 107-110 in their textbooks, writing important facts in their interactive notebooks. 

Later in the week students will look at primary sources and act out a scene, having to choose what side they will choose, French or British.

*Please make sure you are looking over your vocabulary words that we took a few weeks ago. This weeks vocabulary words are: militia, allies, Iroquois Confederacy.
