SS.8.A.4.8- Describe the influence of individuals on social and political developments of this era in American History. 

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Student Goals: 

  • Identify lifestyle changes forced upon Native Americans after the passage of the Indian Removal Act. 
  • Describe how westward expansion led to the spread of slavery and conflict over the institution.
Classroom Activities

Students will complete two notebook page- graphic organizers. Students must complete this and paste into their notebooks. **(When I do a notebook check I will be looking for these pages.) 


Assignments Due

Florida Statehood Essay- 1 page including how the state of Florida became a state. Including how it was separated into the eastern and western sides.

ALL IEP and ESOL accommodations will be provided daily.
