|Learning Targets and Learning Criteria|
At the start of the new year the first activity students will participate in will be coming up with their new years resolutions. After, we will review some of the standards taught before break just help remind students of the topics we last learned about. (Declaring Independence, Battle formations- Battle at Bunker Hill, King George III etc.)
We will then jump into the Articles of Confederation. Students will have a group activity where they partner up and go around the room analyzing multiple features of the Article of Confederation. The purpose for this activity is to assist students in their understanding how and why the first draft of the Articles were so unsuccessful.
Students will have an essay that they will have to write on the Articles of Confederation. Explaining 2-3 reasons why the Articles of Confederation were created in such a way, and how the articles were not beneficial to the United States.
ALL IEP and ESOL accommodations will be provided daily.
When a student is absent, it is their responsibility to check the absent files in class and copy notes from a peer. Students will have the number of days absent to complete missing work.
