Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Student Goals: 

  • Understand the actions of Andrew Jackson’s military expeditions and their impact on Florida and the nation.
  • Understand the key events in Florida becoming a territory and then a state
Classroom Activities

Students will review topics from the week before spring break. Reading a few pages in their reflections notebook.

Students will also watch a video on the Seminole Wars. They will be introduced to the historical figure Andrew Jackson and what his role was in acquiring the state of Florida as a territory.

ALL IEP and ESOL accommodations will be provided daily.
