PE.M.2.1.2: Strike an object continuously using body parts both upward and downward.

PE.M.2.1.5: Dribble with hands and feet in various pathways, directions and speeds around stationary objects.

PE.M.3.1.2: Strike a stationary object from a stationary position using body parts so that the object travels in the intended direction at the desired height.

PE.M.3.1.5: Maintain control while dribbling with hands or feet against a defender.

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Students will learn how to pass a soccer ball with correct form and accurately to a teammate.

Students will learn how to pass a soccer ball to a teammate while being defended.

Students will learn how to dribble with control and shoot the soccer ball accurately. 

Classroom Activities

Q3 warm-up exercises in our teams. (3 push-ups, frog jump, skip and side shuffle)

Day 1: Passing Circles (Form and Accuracy)

Day 2 and 3: Monkey in the middle “Soccer Edition” (Passing Under Pressure)

Day 4: Race by Dribbling the Soccer Ball. (Ball Control)

Day 5 and 6: Dribble and Shoot (Ball Control)

Discussion Questions: How can you accurately pass a ball to a teammate? What are the rules of soccer?


Assignments Due

Don’t forget to bring water bottles and wear sneakers. 

Take 5 minutes to practice our exercises when you are at home.

Assessment: Perform the Q3 Exercises. Pass the soccer ball to a teammate with good form (step towards your teammate and use your inside foot) and accurately. Stop the ball with your foot when it comes to you. Show that you can dribble the soccer ball with control.
