Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Students will learn how to pass a soccer ball accurately to a teammate while a defense is trying to stop them.

Students will learn how to shoot a soccer ball accurately into the goal with a defense being an obstacle in the way. 

Classroom Activities

Q3 warm-ups exercises in our teams. (5 push-ups, 10 jumping jacks, 10 lunges “5 each leg”, 10 sit-ups)

Day 1: Soccer Passing Circles

Day 2-4: Round Robin Soccer Tournament

Discussion Questions: How can you accurately pass a ball to a teammate? What are the rules of soccer?

Assignments Due

Don’t forget to bring water bottles and wear sneakers.

Assessment: Perform the Q3 Exercises.Pass the soccer ball to a teammate with good form (step towards your teammate and use your inside foot) and accurately. Stop the ball with your foot when it comes to you. Show that you can dribble the soccer ball with control.
