Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Students will learn and review proper playing techniques for the recorder. 

Students will learn and review the notes B,A,G on the recorder. 

Students will read the Treble Clef. 

Students will do Treble Clef activities in centers to practice their music reading abilities. 

Students will sing with proper singing voices. 

Students will play on instruments alone and with others. 

Students will begin their Winter Performance pieces.

Introduction to Winter Performance Pieces

  1. Talk about the storyline
  2. Discuss classical music element and classical composers 
  3. Go over lyrics and start memorization 

Treble Clef Music Centers

Students will go to different centers around the room with different activities related to reading the Treble Clef. 

If time is needed, continue working on call and response songs in the music book. 

Beat Buddy Challenge (finding and maintaining a steady beat)
