Classroom Activities

Students will choose from a paper in various colors, patterns, and texture to tear into strips and glue to another large piece of paper (being mindful of balance and harmony, so perhaps repeating some colors and patterns) to create their animals face. They will then choose to draw or trace a cats or dogs nose and eyes.  They will color the eyes using 3-4 analogous colored oil pastels and blending them. They will have visuals of dogs and cats, to help visualize the facial order, features, textures, and fur of the animals. Students will use black and white paint to add definition, dimension, and texture.
