Review correct body and finger positions on the keyboard.

Use correct reaches from home row keys.

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Learn to identify all the inside components of a desktop tower and understand each components contribution to a computers operation.

Work up to 15 wpm at 95% accuracy for all assignments in “Typing Word with all Words”.

 

Classroom Activities

Watch the Magic School Bus “Gets Programmed”.
Complete Magic School Bis handout.

Separate students into three groups and examine the parts of an actual tower inside. 

Log into EduType for the first time and go over:

  • how to earn starts
  • how to earn badges
  • where lessons are located
  • how to customize account

Complete Typing Words with all rows lessons 1-7.
