Welcome to 4th Grade!

  • I primarily use the program Bloomz to communicate with families, post events, publish volunteer needs, and create wish lists. Please sign up for a parent account and link to my classroom by using the codes CBPW8U and ETZDG3. BOTH Ms. Brackney’s homeroom and my homeroom parents should register for my class on Bloomz.

  • This year students will have accounts for Reading Counts, Newsela, Seesaw, and IXL. I will provide usernames and passwords as available. They will be based on your child’s Volusia County e-mail which is their unique alphacode@vcs2go.net
  • Scholastic Book Orders: To order books through Scholastic Book Clubs use our class code L8BQQ or send checks or cash in with an order form

  • 7:55-9:20 Special Area (Rotating schedule, 2 per day)
  • 9:20-11:35 Morning assignment; Reading and writing Barnes’ Homeroom
  • 11:35-12:05 Lunch
  • 12:05-2:25 Reading and writing Ms. Brackney’s Homeroom
  • 2:25-2:55 Social Studies or RtI (Response to Intervention-this is additional math and reading practice geared to your child’s unique abilities)
  • 2:55-3:00 Pack-up/Dismissal
