·         Provide an explanation of events in a historical, scientific or technical text, including what happened and why, based on specific information in the text.

 

Classroom Activities

-Viewing various videos on Saint Augustine and its history, including “St. Augustine-Travel Through History”,  “Travel Through History – Pirate Museum”,  “Travel Through History-Castillo de San Marcos”.

-Reading and answering text based questions on the following articles: “Florida’s Historic Places: St. Augustine”, “The Building of Castillo de San Marcos”, “Florida’s Shipwrecks and Treasures”.

-Researching and writing about St. Augustine, its history, and its famous sights.

-I-Ready Reading

-Spelling Choice Board activities
