-Viewing Constitution Day video

-Reading “America’s Grand Plan” article and answering text-based questions

-Identifying and providing statements of the main idea of a text

-Utilizing dictionaries to find the definitions of words and providing synonyms for those words

-Reading the preamble and rewriting it in language that makes sense to the students

-Reading “Florida’s Government: Power, Purpose, and People” to review text features such as Table of Contents,to practice identifying the main idea of a text, and to discuss/answer text-based questions

Assignments Due

Homework: Tuesday-Thursday, Read and Respond (Read for 20 minutes each night and write a written response to that part of the text.)
