Classroom Activities

 -Utilizing the “Florida Indians Research Booklet” to take notes on various tribes

-Practice providing an explanation of events in a historical text, including what happened and why, based on specific information in the text by reading about Florida’s first people

-Completing the “Native Tribes Graphic Organizer

-Reading “The Timucua”  and “The Tocobaga” texts and examining the text features 

-Turning headings into questions in order to find the main idea of a text and the details that support it

-Informational Essays on Florida tribes
