Classroom Activities

-“Your Recycle House” article from ReadWorks: Students will read the article and answer comprehension questions.

-Students will write an informative essay on how to create a home from recycled materials.

-Students will design their own recycled home.

-BrainPOP Jr. videos: “Earth”, “Natural Resources”, “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, “Extinct and Endangered Species”

-Students will select an endangered species to research.  They will then plan and write an informative essay about that animal including information about the animal’s habitat, diet, and what is threatening that particular animal.  Students may also provide a visual aide for their project such as a PowerPoint presentation or poster.
