 LAFS.4.W.3.8  Recall relevant information from experiences or gather relevant information from print and digital sources; take notes and categorize information, and provide a list of sources.

 LAFS.4.W.4.10 Write routinely over extended time frames (time for research, reflection, and revision) and shorter time frames (a single sitting or a day or two) for a range of discipline-specific tasks, purposes, and audiences.

 LAFS.4.RF.3.3  Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.

 LAFS.4.RF.4.4  Read with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension.

 LAFS.4.L.1.1 Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking.

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

The students will:

Complete short research projects that build knowledge through investigation of different aspects of a topic.

Recall or gather relevant information from print and digital sources. 

Take notes and categorizes information.

List sources.

Demonstrate ability to report on a topic or text, tell a story, or recount an experience in an organized manner. 

Demonstrate ability to use appropriate facts and relevant, descriptive details to support main ideas.

Demonstrate ability to speak clearly at understandable pace.

Provide audio recordings and/or visual displays in presentations when appropriate to enhance development of main ideas.

Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas and information clearly.

Write routinely to meet a range of tasks, purposes, and audiences.

Demonstrate ability to effectively engage in a range of collaborative discussions on grade 4 topics and texts, building on others’ ideas and expressing own ideas clearly.

Demonstrates ability to make comments that contribute to the discussion and/or link to the remarks of others.

Book Report Movie Poster- was assigned with project information assignment sheet:       Monday, April 30th – Due Monday, May 7 

Florida Innovators Project (note taking sheet, essay, and visual presentation) Was assigned with project information assignment sheet: Thursday, May 3- Due Monday, May 14.  Students will hand it all 3 parts of the assignment on that date.
