Demonstrate use of basic production techniques suited to specified journalistic media (e.g., newspapers, magazines, electronic media, photojournalism).
LA.D.2.3.2: use literary devices and techniques in the comprehension and creation of written, oral, and visual communications.
LA.D.2.3.4: understand how the multiple media tools of graphics, pictures, color, motion, and music can enhance communication in television, film, radio, and advertising.
|Learning Targets and Learning Criteria|
-Students will become familiar with the rules and expectations in the Apple Lab.
-Students will be introduced to yearbook by working on a diagnostic assessments.
-Students will learn about the yearbook spread.
-Students will begin to understand the functions of the yearbook.
-With the instructor, students will read the syllabus and Apple Lab Contract for this class.
-Students will take a 70 question diagnostic assessment!
-With a partner, students will complete the “Yearbook Spread To-Do List” activity.
-With a partner, students will complete the “Functions of the Yearbook” activity
