Classroom Activities

Week 1:

Tuesday/Friday: Student led warm up; Review Theater Job Hierarchy. Choose groups and jobs within group.

Wednesday: Student led warm up; Choose play for group

Thursday: Theatre Field Trip to see “Free To Be You and Me”

Week 2:

Monday/Tuesday: Student led warm-up; Meet with group and begin reading through play for design project.

Wednesday; Ensemble Game

Thursday/Friday: Student led warm-up, Pictures with Mood and presentation due for a grade

Week 3: 

Monday/Tuesday: Student led warm-up; Finish Mood presentation

Wednesday: Student led warm-up; Reflection on how tech theater establishes mood in a play.

Thursday/Friday: Student led warm-up; Finish Reflections: Work on finishing read through of group play selected. Begin Highlighting process.

3 pictures and presentation describing how these theatrical elements create a mood.

Reflection on establishing mood in theatrical design.
