MAFS.7.EE.1.1:  Apply properties of operations as strategies to add, subtract, factor, and expand linear expressions with rational coefficients.

MAFS.7.EE.2.3:  Solve multi-step real-life and mathematical problems posed with positive and negative rational numbers in any form (whole numbers, fractions, and decimals), using tools strategically.  Apply properties of operations to calculate with numbers in any form; convert between forms as appropriate; and assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies.

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria
• Students will identify the different parts of an expression including constants and variable terms, like terms, and coefficients
• Students will use the distributive property to add  and/or subtract linear expressions with rational coefficients
• Students will apply properties of operations to solve multi-step real-world problems with all rational numbers
• Students will solve multi-step real-world problems involving all types of rational numbers with precision
Classroom Activities

Monday:

• Students will complete guided notes on Two-step equations and we will do some practice problems together
• Students will then do a two-step equation maze
• If they finish, they will do the Two-Step Equation Around the Clock Scavenger Hunt Activity

Wednesday:

• Students will work on completing any missing work

Thursday:

• Students will work on iReady
• Students will work on completing any missing work
• Students will work on the Clock activity
