MAFS.7.RP.1.1:  Compute unit rates associated with ratios of fractions (including ratios of lengths, areas, and other quantities measured in like or different units).

MAFS.7.RP.1.2:  Recognize and represent proportional relationships between quantities.  Decide whether two quantities are in a proportional relationship.  Identify the constant of proportionality and represent proportional relationships by equations.

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria
  • Students will be able to find the constant of proportionality from an equation, from a graph, from a table, or in a word problem.
  • Students will create equivalent ratios.
  • Students will determine whether two quantities are proportional.
Classroom Activities

Monday:

  • Students will work on iReady for 45 minutes.
  • Students will then complete the worksheet on Equivalent Ratios they started last Thursday.

Wednesday:

  • Students will do a few Quizizz assignments.

Thursday:

  • Students will watch a few Khan Academy videos on how to find the Constant of Proportionality from a table, a graph, and an equation.
  • Students will then do a Constant of Proportionality Mystery Puzzle.
Assignments Due
  • Quizizz due by the end of class on January 14.
  • Constant of Proportionality will be do next week.
