MAFS.7.RP.1.2:  Recognize and represent proportional relationships between quantities.  Decide whether two quantities are in a proportional relationship.  Identify the constant of proportionality and represent proportional relationships by equations.

MAFS.7.RP.1.3:  Use proportional relationships to solve multi-step ratio and percent problems, including simple interest, tax, markups and markdowns, etc.

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria
  • Students will be able to find the constant of proportionality from an equation, from a graph, from a table, or in a word problem.
  • Students will create equivalent ratios.
  • Students will determine whether two quantities are proportional.
Classroom Activities

Monday:

  • Students will do 45 minutes of iReady.
  • Students will then finish IXL K.1 and then do IXL K.6.
  • Students may also work on completing assignments for core class.

Wednesday:

  • Students will work on completing work from Monday.

Thursday:

  • Students will work on completing IXL’s or iReady quizzes.
  • We will do some Kahoots!
Assignments Due
  • IXL K.1 due by January 31.
  • iReady quiz due by January 31.
