EE.1.1 Apply properties of operations as strategies to add, subtract, factor, and expand linear expressions with rational coefficients.
|Learning Targets and Learning Criteria|
Use the commutative and associative properties to add linear expressions with rational coefficients.
Identify parts of an expressions: constants, coefficients, variables, and like terms.
Use the distributive property with expressions: 7(2x-3)=14x-21
Use the distributive property to factor out Greatest Common Factor.
Monday & Tuesday: District Interim Assessment over Integers & Rational #’s. Define coefficient, constant, variable, term, like term, and expression.
Wednesday: Introduction to “like terms” in expressions. Group like terms on a Math Space assignment.
Thursday & Friday: Vocabulary Quiz. Solving one and two-step equations.
