pliers – pincers used chiefly for gripping small objects or bending wire
needle nose pliers – pliers with long slender jaws used for grasping small or thin objects
hammer – a tool with a heavy metal head used for breaking things and driving in nails
screwdriver – a tool that fits into the head of a screw to turn it
phillips-head screwdriver – a screwdriver having a cross-shaped tip rather than the rectangular tip of a standard screwdriver
flat-head screwdriver – a screwdriver with a flat wedge-shaped tip that fits into a slot in the head of a screw
level – a small glass tube with a bubble in it to help find a straight surface
wire cutters – a tool used to cut wire
awl – a pointed tool used for piercing holes
allen wrench – an L-shaped metal bar with a hexagonal head, used to turn bolts and screws having hexagonal sockets
plane – a tool used for making wood smooth and level by pulling the plane over the surface
wrench – a tool used for gripping and turning nuts, bolts, and pipes
box cutter – a thin, inexpensive razor-blade knife designed to open cardboard boxes
saw – a hand tool for cutting wood or other materials, typically with a long, thin serrated steel blade
tape measure – a length of tape or thin flexible metal, marked at intervals for measuring
mallet – a hammer with a large, usually wooden head, used especially for hitting a chisel
sledge hammer – a large, heavy hammer used for such jobs as breaking rocks and driving in fence posts
hacksaw – a fine-tooth saw used for cutting metal that looks like a rectangle with an attached handle
vise grip – a tool with two jaws for holding work that close and lock, usually by a screw or lever.
drill – a hand tool, power tool, or machine with a rotating cutting tip and drill bits used for making holes of various sizes and shapes
duct tape – a strong, sticky tape used for just about everything you can think of!
WD-40 – a spray to prevent corrosion, loosen things, and quiet squeaky hinges
safety glasses – glasses used to protect the eyes
t-square – a firm piece of metal with a 90 degree angle used to draw straight lines.
chisel – a long-bladed hand tool with a beveled cutting edge and a plain handle that is struck with a hammer or mallet, used to cut or shape wood, stone, or metal
