 – Students will read persuasive texts determining author’s point of view.
 – Students will analyze the structure of a text.
 – Students will piece together arguments in sequential order.
 – Students will learn how to write an argumentative paper.
 – Students will research argumentative essay topics.
 – Students will outline their argumentative paper. 

Classroom Activities

 – Students will read from Florida Collections – “Why Exploring the Ocean is Mankind’s Next Giant Leap.” (Moved from week 4.)
 – Students will cut and paste arguments in sequential order.
 – Students will engage in learning activities to help memorize the Greek & Latin Roots.
 – Students will research on the computer.
 – Students will outline their essay.
