 – Students will take a baseline reading and writing exam. (Diagnostic.)
Classroom Activities

Monday, August 26th – Finalize research and outline of persuasive speech.
Tuesday, August 27th – Submit persuasive speech outline, prepare speech index cards, deliver speech to peers.  (Practice timing.)
Wednesday, August 28th – Periods 1, 2, & 3  = Practice Level II Greek & Latin Roots.  Periods 5, 6, & 7 = Novel Study
Thursday, August 29th – iReady – baseline reading exam
Friday, August 30th –   ThinkCERCA baseline writing exam.

Monday, August 26th – Persuasion Is All Around You 
Friday, August 30th – Close Reader – Pages 67-74.

Tuesday, September 3rd – Students will begin delivering persuasive speeches.  Persuasive Speech Parent Feedback Form is due.
