Students will uncover a short story’s plot, characters, conflict, theme, and setting.
Students will become proficient in completing a plot diagram.
Students will create an effective argumentative essay.

Monday, October 7th –  Finish Argumentative Essay/Complete Student Editing Checklist
Tuesday, October 8th –   Elements of a Short Story taught through the eyes of Disney movies.  Plot, character, setting, theme, and conflict.
Wednesday, October 9th –  Periods 1, 2, & 3 = Finish all IXL Assignments  Periods 5, 6, & 7 = Finish Book Report
Argumentative Essay is Due/Parent Feedback Form is Due
Thursday, October 10th –  Elements of a Short Story
Friday, October 11 – Plot Diagram using the story of The Three Little Pigs
Greek & Latin Words Spelling & Vocabulary Test (Quarter 2 Grade)
Summative Book Report Due
