Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Students will:

Write an informative/explanatory essay examining The Florida Everglades while conveying ideas, concepts, and information through the selection, organization, and analysis of relevant content.

Classroom Activities

Monday, January 20th – MLK Day – No School
Tuesday, January 21st –  Finish essay outline and begin typing first draft. 
Wednesday, January 22nd –  Periods 1, 2, & 3 = Novel Study.  Periods 5, 5, & 7 = Finish draft. 
Thursday, January 23rd – Group/Peer edits of essay.  Submit final draft:  hlbaker@volusia.k12.fl.us  (Off of Vportal)
Friday, January 24th –  iReady, IXL, and Florida Ready workbook.

Assignments Due

Friday: 
Vocabulary assignment – Use each word in a sentence.  20 sentences will be submitted.
IXL – J:  1-3 &  N:  2, 3, 6, & 7
