Introduction to Plot

PPT. on plot development

Show the short video Alma and fill out plot diagram.

Elements of plot quiz on Monday following class activities.

If time, rainbow edit argumentative essay on fidget spinners

Sleepy Hollow Mini Unit

Connotation and Denotation activity 

Vocabulary PPT. with worksheet of words from the story.

Complete pumpkin diagrams for story words and take home to study for the quiz on Wednesday.

*If time read the passage together and take notes on the vocabulary words.

Students will complete the apply vocabulary page.

Read Sleepy Hollow and fill out the PLOT diagram page.

Characterization activity in teams.  Each team will have 3 characters that they will fill out a page for.  They will present the information on poster paper. 

Plot strip activity in teams.  Each team will work together to put the plot in the correct order.
