Students will introduce a topic, organize ideas, concepts, and information.

Students will develop the topic with relevant facts, definitions, details, quotations, and other examples from the text.

Students will compare two texts on the same event.

Classroom Activities

Students will take the writing FSA on Monday!!!

Students will create a solution/plan for the article ‘The Great Bird Poop Diaster’ from last week, in teams.  They will share their writing and proposed solution from the article.  They will also compose new solutions and present their plans to solve the problem to the class.

Students will reflect on quarter 3 and file their essays/graded tests in their portfolios.  

Students will present a verbal book review of the book they read for quarter 3, without spoilers!

Students will listen to a video on the 9.11 memorial and compare the events and details to an article about the 9.11 memorial from FL Collections.  

Students will use tackling the text in 10 steps to read the article and practice reading comprehension strategies.  

Students will answer questions using numbered heads together to practice test taking strategies. 

Assignments Due

Field trip form, principal letter signed, and money is due for the Epcot field trip on March 8th.
