LAFS.6.RL.3.9 Compare and contrast texts in different forms or genres (e.g., stories and poems; historical novels and fantasy stories) in terms of their approaches to similar themes and topics.

Learning Target

Students will provide a description of how the theme or central idea is conveyed through particular details. (RL.1.2)

Students will determine the meaning of words and phrases using the context of the text. (RL.2.4)

Students will provide a statement on the impact of a specific word choice on the meaning and tone of the overall text. (RL.2.4)

Students will compare and contrast texts in different forms in terms of their approaches to similar topics (RL.3.9)
