Find the greatest common factor of two whole numbers less than or equal to 100 and the least common multiple of two whole numbers less than or equal to 12. Use the distributive property to express a sum of two whole numbers 1-100 with a common factor as a multiple of a sum of two whole numbers with no common factor

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Learning Targets:

I know I am successful when I can:

  • apply odd and even numbers to understand factors and multiples.
  • apply divisibility rules (review rules for 2, 4, 5, 8, and 10), specifically for 3 and 9.
  • find the least common multiple and greatest common factor and apply factors to the distributive property
Classroom Activities

This week we are beginning to dive into 6th grade math content with the introduction of our Number Systems unit.

This entire week we will be focused on learning how to find the GCF and LCM of a set of numbers and using different strategies to find the factors and multiples of numbers.

Assignments Due
