Understand that a function is a rule that assigns to each input exactly one output. The graph of a function is a set of ordered pairs consisting of an input and the corresponding output.

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

• explain that a function represents a relationship between an input and an output where the output depends on the input; therefore, there can only be one output for each input
• show the relationship between the inputs and outputs of a function by graphing them as ordered pairs on a coordinate grid

Classroom Activities

We will be beginning our Functions unit this week. We will be completing a number of activities to practice the above standards including in class practice, rotation stations, and notebook activities. 

Assignments Due

This is the last week of the quarter before spring break. Please check gradebook and make sure all assignments are completed before Friday 3-9-18.

Additional Resources

If additional help is needed, students are encouraged to view a lesson regarding a given topic on Khan Academy. This website is free and provides both video instruction as well as practice problems. 

Students are able to complete additional practice on both MathSpace and IXL.
