|Learning Targets and Learning Criteria|
Students will: • explain how global patterns such as the jet stream and ocean currents influence local weather in measurable terms, such as:
air temperature and air pressure
wind direction and speed
humidity and precipitatio
Students will participate in a lab demonstrating the effects that trade winds have on ocean currents.
El Nino and La Nino will be demonstrated through a lab in class.
Students will create a review for the DIA5.
Assessment on the DIA5 will be from 2/6 though 2/7
Study for the DIA5 : 2/5 through 2/7
ESOL/ESE/ 504 : Extra time and small group will be available for assignments. Scaffolding of the material and reading content based questions will be used. Copies of the power point will be made available for note-taking purposes. Content material will be read aloud to students if applicable. Visuals will be provided for explanation of material.
