SS.6.W.3.12- Explain the cause for the growth and longevity of the Roman Empire. 

 

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Student Goals:

  • Students will describe the conditions that led to the transition from a republic to an imperial form of government.
  • Students will compare and contrast Roman life and culture under the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire
  • Discuss examples of Rome’s efficient government, religious toleration, expansion of citizenship, the legion, and the extension of road networks.  
Classroom Activities

Students will use ipads/ textbooks pg 365 to create posters on the Daily of of the Romans. They will need to work in groups, include facts and drawings on their posters. Then students will present the posters to their classmates.
