|Learning Targets and Learning Criteria|
Students will discuss the ways Alexander the great was an effective leader, and what characteristics a “great leader” would have.
Students will be able to explain several achievements Alexander the great made during his reign.
At the beginning of the week students will create a 2018 foldable. We will talk about their personal resolutions and how they can be better students for the rest of the academic school year. Afterwards we will play a Kahoot review game to help review all the standards we learned before the Christmas break.
On Wednesday we will begin discussing Alexander the great and his numerous achievements. Students will read Chapter 30 on page 313 in their textbooks and watch a video in class.
Students will later, break into groups and answer essential questions, given by the teacher, on Alexander the great and research for themselves if he truly was an effective leader. They will then present the information gained to the class.
Alexander the Great Essay.
Must be 3 paragraphs: 4-6 sentences each.
Opening, middle and closing.
Explaining who Alexander was, and if you believe he truly was a great leader.
ALL IEP and ESOL accommodations will be provided daily.
