SS.6.W.4.11- Explain the rise and expansion of the Mongol empire and its effects on peoples of Asia and Europe including the achievements of Ghengis and Kublai Khan.

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Student Goals: 

  • To identify the achievements of Emperor Qin and discover if he was an effective leader. 
  • Students will discuss both the positive and negative effects that Mongolian rule had on the peoples of Asia and Europe. 
Classroom Activities

Students will complete pages 154-158 in their interactive notebooks

Students will act-out scenes from photographs from our textbook. 

Advanced Class: Create posters on Emperor Qin- either commemorating Qin or creating a “wanted” poster.
