We are so excited for our field trip to the Planetarium this Tuesday, November 6th! Please make sure your child comes to school dressed in uniform. If you did not order a school lunch for your child be sure to send a lunch from home that day.

In a couple of weeks, we will be having an ice cream sundae party for students to celebrate multiplication fact fluency! More details to come!!

Science Learning Targets:  Students will be able to describe how water changes state through heating and cooling.

Science Learning Activities: Students will learn about matter and how states of matter can change. We will do an experiment with ice cubes to learn how water can melt the fastest.

Math Learning Targets:
Students will be able to explain patterns in the multiplication table and use strategies to multiply and divide by 2, 5 and 10. Students will also be able to relate multiplication and division.
IXL: M9, M12, F11, H1, N6, N7 (multiplication and division)

Math Learning Activities: Students will be working from My Math Chapter 6. As we begin a unit on multiplication and division, students will practice looking for patterns in the multiplication table and using strategies to find products. We will also explore fact families and how multiplication and division are related.

ELA Activities: Students will participate in small groups during centers and also practicing on iReady and iStation.
ELA Learning Targets: 3.RL.1.2 … determine the central message, lesson, or moral and explain how it is conveyed through key details in the text.
3.RL.1.2: Understand that fables, folktales, and myths often teach a moral or lesson.

Social Studies: This week students will be taking a test over the three branches of government. I will be sending home the passages that we studied in class for students to review. The test will be on the 7th.
