Science Learning Targets:  How does water change through heating and cooling?

Science Learning Activities: Students will continue to learn about matter and how states of matter can change. We will have discussions and activities that explore boiling, evaporation, and condensing.

Vocabulary:

Freezing: changing from a liquid to a solid when heat is lost
Melting: changing from a solid to a liquid when heat is gained
Boiling: changing from a liquid to a gas at 100 degrees C
Evaporation: changing from a liquid to a gas: heat is gained
Condensation: changing from a gas to a liquid: heat is lost

Math Learning Targets:
Students will be able to use different strategies, models and patterns to multiply and divide.
IXL: M9, M12, F11, H1, N6, N7 (multiplication and division)

Math Learning Activities: Students will be working from My Math Chapter 6. Students will practice looking for patterns in the multiplication table and using strategies to find products. We will also explore fact families and how multiplication and division are related. This is a great review of some of the multiplication strategies students have already used.

ELA Activities: Students will participate in small groups during centers and also practicing on Iready and Istation.
ELA Learning Targets: 3.Rl.2.4 Use context clues to help determine meanings of unfamiliar words.
3.Rl.2.4: Use domain-specific knowledge to determine meaning of content- or subject-area words and phrases.
