Math Activities: We are continuing our work with subtraction with regrouping and Subtraction across zeros. Then we will review multiplication strategies from chapter 4 and begin working in chapter 5 on division in the My Math book.
Math Learning Targets: Students will be able to use models to divide, relate division with subtraction and multiplication.
We will review multiplication facts 2’s-4’s and begin learning our 5’s the following week.
Ways to help at home:
- Have student divide objects around the house into equal groups.
- Have students estimate the cost of the grocery list
- Have students add or subtract numbers they see on packages of food or anywhere else.

Science Learning Targets: Students will recognize that gravity is a force that can be overcome.
Science Learning Activities: Students will play Gravity Defying Olympics and create gliders to show how an object can overcome gravity. Students will also take a summative for gravity and review what they have learned so far. Students will take the VST 1 for science on Thursday.
