Q2W2

Math Activities:  Students will begin working in chapter 6 of our My Math books.

Math Learning Targets: Students will be able to explain patterns in the multiplication table, use models to multiply and divide by 2 and 5.

We will be learning our 6’s multiplication facts this week.

IXL: F.2, F.6, J.2, J.5

Science Learning Targets:  Students will be able to measure and compare the mass and volume of solids and liquids.

Science Learning Activities: Students will measure mass, volume and temperature. We will discuss observable properties and measurable properties.

Science Vocabulary:

Mass– the measure of how much matter an object has

Volume: the measure of how much space an object takes up

solid– particles are packed tightly together, definite shape, definite volume

liquid– particles are further apart, takes the shape of its container, definite volume

gas– particles are the farthest apart, takes the shape of its container, no definite volume (fills the space of its container)
