*** Baby Pumpkin Patch Book reports are due the 29th and students will be able to dress up as their book characters on October 31st.***
Third grade will be going on a field trip to the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Daytona on December 16th. Field trip forms have been sent home. Please turn in the permission slip and payment by October 28th.
On Thursday, October 31 students may come to school in a costume of a character from the book they chose for the book report. They may also bring their pumpkin for the tiny pumpkin patch this week. The pumpkin should be of a character or theme from their book report.
The Fall Festival will be Saturday, November 16th from 10:00-2:00. Sign-ups will be coming out soon.
Science Learning Targets: Students will be learning about the forms of matter and the 3 states of matter. (Solid, liquid, gas)
Science Learning Activities: Students will use foldables and other hands on activities to explore the states of matter.
Mass– the measure of how much matter an object has
Volume: the measure of how much space an object takes up
solid– particles are packed tightly together, definite shape, definite volume
liquid– particles are further apart, takes the shape of its container, definite volume
gas– particles are the farthest apart, takes the shape of its container, no definite volume (fills the space of its container)
IXL Science: 3rd Grade C1, C2
Math Activities: Students will continue working on patterns in Chapter 6 of the My Math book.
Math Learning Targets: Students will be able to use patterns, strategies and related facts to multiply and divide. Students will take the chapter 6 test on Friday.
We will be learning our 7’s multiplication facts this week.
