Science Learning Targets:
Students will demonstrate that light travels in a straight line until it strikes an object or travels from one medium to another.
Students will also demonstrate that light can be reflected, refracted, and absorbed.
Science Learning Activities: During science, students will participate in investigations that show how light travels through matter. They will also investigate what happens to light as it travels. For example, light can be reflected, refracted, absorbed, or a combination of any of these.
Reflection- light bounces off an object
Refraction- light slows down as it passes through an object and looks bent or broken
Absorb- light is taken in by the object
Shadow- the place where light is blocked/absorbed by an object
Translucent- some light passes through
Transparent- all light passes through
Opaque- no light passes through
Math Learning Targets:
Students will be able to draw bar graphs and relate bar graphs to picture graphs. Students will use the break apart strategy and distributive property to multiply.
Math Learning Activities: Students will be working from My Math Chapter 12 and 9. Students will practice using bar graphs, picture graphs and strategies for multiplication. Students will practice these skills in centers and on IXL and Prodigy.

ELA Activities: Students will participate in small groups during centers and also practicing on Iready and Istation.
