ELA Learning Targets:

Students will review text features, illustrations, main idea and key details.

Students will continue working on personal narrative style writing.

ELA Activities:

Students will be reading the story “Washington Weed Whackers” for comprehension. Students will participate in small groups during centers and also practicing on IXL, I-Station, as well as reviewing concepts from the previous unit. IXL: R.1-R.2, X.1, X.2, U.1-U.5, V.1-V.5, Z.1, Y.3, T.1-T.5, W.3, W.4

 Science Learning Targets: What is the structure of plants? What nutrients do plants need?

Science Learning Activities: Unit 6 Science Fusion. Students will describe the structure of plants and their roles in food production, support, water and nutrient transport, and reproduction.  Students will participate in interactive digital lessons and virtual lab activities.

Math Learning Targets:  Students will be able to explain how perimeter and area are related and how they are different and find the area using the distributive property.

Math Learning Activities: Students will find the perimeter by counting units or with given side lengths. Students will find the area of a shape by counting units and with the distributive property.

IXL: FF. 18, FF. 16, FF. 17

Social Studies: Students will continue learning about maps and geography. Students will learn about the natural landmarks in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
