Science Learning Targets:  How can we classify invertebrates? How can you classify things?

Science Learning Activities: Unit 7 Science Fusion. Students will classify animals in major groups according to their characteristics and behaviors.  Students will also participate in an Earth Day activity.

Math Learning Targets: Students will continue to work on multiplication in preparation for 4th grade.

Math Learning Targets: Students will use the expanded and standard algorithm, multiply two-digit numbers and estimate products.

ELA Learning Targets:

Students will ask and answer questions to demonstrate understanding of a text, referring explicitly to the text as the basis for the answers. Students will determine the main idea of a txt; recount the key details and explain how they support the main idea. Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 3 topics and texts, building on others’ ideas and expressing their own clearly.

ELA Activities:

Students will be reading the story “The Printer” for comprehension. Students will participate in small groups during centers and also practicing on IXL, I-Station, as well as reviewing concepts from the previous unit. IXL: A.8, N.3, N.9, D.1

Social Studies: Students will be able to identify major ways environmental influences contribute to settlement patterns and recognize the different cultures that have settled in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
