Q3, W2: February 1-5 Pre-Algebra

MAFS.8.F.1.1: Understand that a function is a rule that assigns to each input exactly one output.  The graph of a function is a set of ordered pairs consisting of an input and the corresponding output.

• identify a function from a graph, equation or set of ordered pairs.
• explain that a function represents a relationship between an input and an output where the output depends on the input; therefore, there can only be one output for each input.

Monday/Tuesday:

1. Students will log onto the Zoom session.
2. Students will take notes on Functions in their ISN
3. We will do a sorting activity together to identify functions.
4. Students will do the Homework page.
5. Students will do IXL’s Z.1, Z.2, and Z.3

Wednesday:

1. Students will log onto the Zoom session.
2. Students will work on iReady (on my path unless they need to finish the Diagnostic).

Thursday/Friday:

1. Students will log onto the Zoom session.
2. Students will take notes on Rate of Change and Slope in their ISN.
3. We will watch “The Adventures of Slope Dude.”
4. We will go over Dependent and Independent Variables.
5. We will do a little of IXL Z.4 together and then students will do IXL Z.4 (and finish 1-3).
