Measuring activity – Students will measure their desks and a book to find the volume of both. Then, determine the number of books that could fit in the desk based on their calculations. Next, students will measure a cylinder cup holder and a marker to calculate the volume. They will determine how many markers will fit in the cup holder based on their volume calculations.
