Learning Targets and Learning Criteria
Students will identify and analyze a compare-and-contrast organizational patter in a text. Students will analyze the impact of a word’s connotation on meaning. Students will cite the textual evidence that most strongly supports an analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text. Students will come to discussions prepared and present claims and findings in a focused manner.
