Write a Quick Writes using their best writing skills.

Read and Discuss Divergent, characters, author’s purpose.

Classroom Activities

Monday – Town Hall Meeting. Review Vocabulary words of Greek and Latin root words. There will be a summative test on these words on Friday. Finish watching Holes. Read Divergent. Discuss. On your own time, watch the two videos.

Tuesday – Review Greek and Latin root words. Read Divergent. Discuss. 

Wednesday  – Morning: Independent reading – Please have your chapter book in class. Afternoon: Quick writes.

Thursday – Review Greek and Latin root words. Read Divergent. Discuss.

Friday – Summative Test over Greek and Latin root words. There will also be a few questions about the two videos you watched.

Assignments Due
  1. Come to class on time prepared to learn.
  2. Participate in discussions and answer questions.
  3. On your own time, watch the two videos. There will be a few questions from these videos on Friday’s summative test on Greek and Latin root words.
  4. Study your Greek and Latin root words.
  5. Do the Quick Writes on Wednesday and turn in to: mjforney@volusia.k12.fl.us
